Yarra Trail Medical was formed during the COVID-19 global pandemic, where the people of Melbourne endured some of the longest lockdowns in the world. Severely restricted in their activities and suffering from the effects of lockdown, people turned in droves to walking in nature - on the trails of the Yarra and her tributaries that extend across Melbourne.

 

These trail walks had meaningful and lasting effects on many people's physical, psychological and emotional health and strengthened relationships with each other and their communities.

*Telehealth with a Medicare rebate is available to the following people:
 

  • - you have seen us face to face once in the last 12 months (including a home visit)

  • - your child who is receiving the service is under 12 months old

  • - your suburb is in lockdown due to COVID-19

Flu vaccination:

The gap fee is reduced to only $25 (to cover the cost of the vaccination).*** 

The following people will receive the flu vaccination entirely bulk billed:

- Children 6 months to less than 5 years of age
- People 65 years and over
- Pregnant women

- People 6 months and over with: 

  •    - heart disease

  •    - severe asthma (multiple medications)

  •    - impaired immunity

  •    - diabetes

  •    - kidney disease

  •    - haemoglobinopathies

  •    - children aged six months to 10 years on long-term aspirin therapy
