Kitty is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker with over 12 years of experience providing therapeutic services to children, adolescents, and families. Her approach is trauma-informed, and she is skilled in addressing a wide range of clinical issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, mood disorders, grief and loss. Kitty creates a warm, supportive environment where clients can feel safe expressing themselves freely. She understands that each client is unique and tailors her approach accordingly, using evidence-based interventions and frameworks such as CBT, Trauma Therapy, DBT, EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, Polyvagal Theory, Solution-Focused Therapy. Additionally, Kitty holds a Master's degree in Social Work and a Master of Philosophy in Guidance and Counselling.

Tom is a mental health accredited social worker who specializes in work with adolescents, young adults and families. Tom has over 15 years experience working in complex trauma. Tom’s clinical experience includes supporting those who choose to engage in violence, those who have engaged in problematic or harmful behaviours, survivors of family violence and of sexual abuse or assault. Tom also has a wealth of experience in working alongside those experiencing mental health illnesses, substance usage issues and emotional/impulse control difficulties. Tom holds a Master of Social work, Clinical masters in Family Therapy. Tom adopts a trauma informed and client lead approach to his therapy, with the use of framework and theories such as CBT, ACT, Polyvagal Theory, Narrative approach and various Family Therapy frameworks. Tom prides himself in his ability to build rapport and help clients achieve their goals by working alongside them in an open and honest space.

Lauren Pennacchia
Remedy Psychology

Lauren is a clinical psychologist who primarily works with children, adolescents and young adults.  She has extensive experience with these population and has worked in hospital settings, a juvenile detention centre and private practice. She 

enjoys working with individuals presenting with a variety of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, difficulties with social skills, difficulties with confidence, self-harming behaviours and more.

 

Lauren adopts a warm, collaborative and holistic approach to therapy and incorporates a range of therapeutic frameworks including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Client Centred Play Therapy (CCPT)  and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT).

Kara is a clinical psychologist and board approved supervisor with over 12 years’ experience across diverse clinical, forensic and educational settings. Kara is passionate about creating a warm, non-judgmental space to foster healing, empowerment and long-term wellness for her clients. Her approach emphasizes down-to-earth, compassionate care and holistic wellbeing, allowing clients to feel genuinely seen and supported in alignment with their personal strengths, values, and goals.

Kara has expertise in addressing a wide range of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief/loss, self-esteem, adjustment and relationship issues. She also has a special interest in perinatal and postnatal mental health, offering a deep understanding of the unique complexities and challenges at all stages of this journey. Kara utilises an evidence-based, integrative treatment approach tailored to individual needs, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), schema therapy and attachment-based therapy.

Su-hwei Moey
From Here to There Speech Pathology

Su-hwei is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with over 15 years of experience supporting children and families. She has worked with children with a wide range of developmental, neurological, and genetic conditions, including Global Developmental Delay, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Prader-Willi Syndrome, Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Angelman Syndrome and Fragile X. Her areas of expertise include early communication, speech and language, play, social communication, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), early literacy, and mealtime skills. Su-hwei tailors therapy to each child’s unique strengths, drawing on evidence-based approaches, such as PROMPT, SOS Approach to Feeding, Hanen’s More Than Words, and Learn to Play Therapy. She believes in a family-centred approach, where both children and caregivers are supported and every achievement is celebrated. Su-hwei provides clinic-based speech therapy assessment and intervention services for children aged 0–7 years at Yarra Trail Medical (Montmorency), and is currently accepting NDIS (plan-managed and self-managed) and private clients.
